Editorial Policy f

Journal of Library and Information Science, Management, Technology, and Education (JOLIMATE)

1. Focus and Scope:

JOLIMATE is a scholarly journal that publishes original research in the fields of library and information science, library management, library technology, and library education. Our aim is to promote and disseminate innovative, thoughtful, and rigorous research to a global readership of academics, practitioners, researchers, and students.

2. Peer Review Process:

All submissions are initially evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief for suitability in JOLIMATE. The manuscripts that meet our scope will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers are expected to provide constructive comments to improve the work. The final decision regarding publication will be made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers' feedback.

3. Open Access Policy:

JOLIMATE is committed to the principles of open access (OA). All published content is freely available without charge to users or their institutions. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

4. Publication Ethics:

JOLIMATE adheres to the highest standards of ethical practises in all its operations. We follow the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expect all authors, reviewers, and editors to uphold these standards. Any cases of suspected misconduct will be thoroughly investigated.

5. Copyright and licencing:

Authors retain copyright of their work published in JOLIMATE, with the work simultaneously licenced under a Creative Commons Attribution Licence (CC BY 4.0) that allows others to share and adapt the work with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

6. Authorship:

Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project should be acknowledged.

7. Privacy Statement:

The names and email addresses entered on this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

8. Publication Frequency:

JOLIMATE is published quarterly, in January, April, July, and October.

9. Archiving:

JOLIMATE utilises a LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

By submitting to JOLIMATE, authors agree to these terms and conditions. We are committed to providing a platform for robust academic discourse and promoting the vital work that goes on in library and information science, management, technology, and education.
