ABSTRACT
The study explored the integration of diversity inclusion and sustainability principles in Nigerian libraries by leveraging digital technologies. It underscores the necessity for libraries to provide broad access to information while reflecting Nigerias diverse population and ensuring inclusivity for all community members. The aim is to generate insights to inform practical interventions and policy decisions on the complex interplay between sustainability inclusiveness and diversity. To assess the current practices challenges and opportunities and highlight the strategies for fostering sustainable equitable and inclusive libraries in Nigeria in the digital era. The research employed a literature review case studies and analysis of best practices from global library systems to satisfy the objectives of the study. The study reveals the complex interplay between sustainability inclusiveness and diversity in shaping the future of libraries in the digital era. It highlighted the evolving role of libraries as community hubs contributing to social cohesion and equitable access to information. It highlighted the barriers to access and participation among underserved populations and proposes practical interventions and policy decisions. It underscores the importance of community engagement diverse collections inclusive programming and staff policies in promoting sustainability and inclusiveness. The study offers a comprehensive structure for Nigerian libraries for technology adoption and social changes ensuring they serve as sustainable and accessible institutions that support the diverse needs of their communities. Practical interventions and policy decisions that contributes to the development of inclusive and sustainable library ecosystems in Nigeria were highlighted.
