ABSTRACT
In the educational environment academic performance is a vital measure of students success encompassing skills attitudes and behaviors within the classroom. This study explores the relationship between library environments and academic performance among junior secondary school students in Delta State Nigeria. The study adopts a correlational design method and focuses on public junior secondary schools across Delta State. Data were collected using a questionnaire titled Library Environment Use of Information Resources and Academic Performance Questionnaire LEUOIRAAPQ. Findings indicate that the nature of accommodation in school libraries significantly correlates with academic performance. However there is no significant relationship between library furnitureequipment and academic performance. The study underscores the critical role of physical learning environments particularly library accommodations in shaping educational outcomes. Recommendations include advocating for the construction of dedicated library buildings within school premises and ensuring adequate infrastructure in school libraries to create conducive learning environments. These recommendations aim to enhance educational outcomes and promote a culture of lifelong learning within the Nigerian education system.
